Unit 10

Well this is my last blog for this class and I have decided to talk about what I need to work on. I am still struggling on my paper trying to make it a research paper and not an informative essay. I'm not real clear on the difference, and plan on looking into it more in my KU Writers handbook. I plan to work on my writing to make it stronger.

Unit 9

For the unit 9 blog I have decided to talk about how I feel. I am sooo tired! My family has been through a lot this term. My mom found a mass in her breast, my husband work has discussed layoffs, dealing with my teenage daughter (need I say more), and I have two lengthy size papers do in a week. !
I have gotten a little behind do to going with my mom to the doctors appts. After a needle biopsy, we were informed that it is non-cancerous! This was a huge relief, but I'm now in my 8th term and getting caught up is a little difficult.
Well, I guess I'll just have to get my head back in the game and work my butt off

Unit 8

I have chose to talk about what I have found difficult to do through out this process.
I would have to say that keeping up has been difficult for me. I would've never imagined that the holidays and a family crisis could have put a wrench in the work the way it did. I now have my mind set on catching up and maintaining my good grades. I have planned more study time and plan on beginning the new year with a positive attitude that will help me accomplish whatever comes at me.

Peer review

How do I deal with peer review? Well when it comes to receiving a peer review I handle it pretty good. I like to receive feedback because it can only help me. I take their ideas and try to incorporate them into my work. If they say something would sound better with different wording or needs to be deleted I take it in stride and make my own judgement.
As for giving peer review, well I double guess myself all the time. This makes it hard for me to give peer review. I am always afraid I will give the wrong information, offend someone. I am trying to improve myself in this course so I can help others.

Unit 6 Blog

For this week I have chose to blog about what my last six weeks have been like.
Wow, where do I start!!! I have had good times like learning how to write a clear thesis, learning to blog, and I have a wonderful professor and classmates. The only bad thing is that this term falls on all the holidays. So it is very difficult to get the school work done, the house clean, the Christmas shopping done, and make it to all the soccer games! Oh yeah and both my classes have a big paper due in week nine! So, I take the good with the bad and can't wait to graduate. I know I will love it when I become a Medical Assistant.

Unit 5 blog post

I chose to answer the question of "how school has influenced my life? Well I have to say that school has completely changed my life!!! I find myself on the computer a lot, reading more, and being very curious. I feel really good about myself! At first I thought I was doing this for my kids, but now I realize that I am doing this for myself too. I feel that I am contributing to society now.

Unit 4 blog post.
For this blog post I decided to answer the question why I think citing is so important? I feel that citing our work is very important. It gives credit to the author. If we did not cite our work the person did the work to get the information will get no credit, therefor they do all the work and get no acknowledgement for it.
