Let me start off by saying "I don't remember being this difficult". LOL I have decided to write my first blog about my 12 year old daughter. She is a very smart girl. She makes honor roll every quarter and is loved by all of her friends. Now, lets talk about the attitude. Everything that comes out of her mouth is sarcastic or just being a smarty pants. Oh yeah did I mention she has a boyfriend now?
I decided to let her have a myspace for her 12 birthday, and now I'm starting to wonder if I should have. Her friends tell her I am over protective. I agree I am. I am not looking for a grand baby in the near future. It amazes me how much freedom some parents give these kids. They are still just kids! My mom was strict and I love her for it. Thanks for listening to me ramble. This blog think isn't half bad!

Blogs can be very therapeutic! LOL! And I think we all thought we "weren't THAT bad" when we were their age!
ReplyDeleteMaybe your topic for the research paper could be kids and the internet/blogs/social sites? It seems you may have some experience with that!
I understand how you feel. I have a 16 year old son who used to be loving, considerate and sensitive to my feelings. But now he is a totally different person - I don't know him anymore! He is so full of anger. I guess, he has not forgiven me for uprooting him from his home country (Philippines), his friends and everything he loves. Like your daughter, he is smart and maintains excellent grades. I hope in time he will learn to understand and accept the reasons why we are here.
